The Ministry of Interior of Kurdistan Region Government has never agreed to violate its sovereignty and the Iranian drone and missile attacks, an official from the ministry said.
Kurdistan region media reported that the Iranian Army Chief of Staff has said that the KRG was tipped off before the attacks. A source in the Interior Ministry told KurdSat English that Iranian representatives and delegations in meetings openly and frequently have threatened to attack the opposition and US bases.
“The opposition parties were aware of the threats,” the source added.
The Interior Ministry source explained that the Kurdistan Region has never agreed to the September 28 attacks and the violation of its sovereignty and strongly condemns them.
The Kurdistan region has maintained a policy of neutrality towards its neighbors in their fights against their opposition groups.
