Iran to open a trade and innovation center in Sulaimani

Iranian firms would enter the Kurdistan region market.
Iranian Consul General in Sulaimani Mahdi Shushtari said that the Iranian Presidential Science and Technology Directorate, Iranian Development and Trade Office, and the private sector of both sides would officially open the Iranian Trade Center, Innovation, and Technology Center next week in the Kurdistan region’s capital of enlightenment, Sulaimani.
He said that in addition to the official delegation of Iran and the Kurdistan Region, a delegation of managers and representatives of about 30 Iranian companies in different fields of medicine and health, IT, electronics, nanotechnology, chemicals, minerals, education, and services among others.
Sulaimani has historically had extensive ties with the Kurdish cities of Iran. With 1.5 billion US dollars of trade between the two, Iran is the largest trader partner of Sulaimani.
